The short version

If you report an AED, your name and contact details are kept private and never appear on the map. Browsing the site requires no account and no tracking.

If you report an AED

We ask for your name, email address and phone number so we can check details with you if something is unclear. These are visible only to the site administrator.

What becomes public, once an administrator has approved it, is the information about the device itself: where it is, how to reach it, when it is accessible, and any photographs you provided.

The name of the business or organisation is published unless you ask us not to, using the checkbox on the form.

We also record the network address your report came from, so we can deal with abuse of the form.

How long we keep it

• Rejected reports: contact details are deleted automatically three months after the decision. The decision itself is kept without them.
• Approved reports: contact details are kept while the AED is listed, so we can reach you if the information needs checking.

Your location

When you ask the site to find the nearest AED, your browser asks your permission to share your position. That position is used in your own browser to work out which device is closest. It is not sent to us and is not stored.

If you search for an address instead, the text you type is sent to a mapping provider to turn it into coordinates.

Cookies and tracking

There is no advertising and no analytics. The site sets a cookie only to keep forms secure and to remember your language choice, and stores your acknowledgement of the disclaimer in your own browser so you are not asked repeatedly.

Other services we rely on

Map images and address searches come from a mapping provider, and email is delivered by a mail provider. These services necessarily see the requests made to them. We do not share anything else with anyone, and we do not sell data.

Asking to see or remove your details

Write to us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. reanimatiebonaire@hotmail.com

Note that removing your contact details does not remove a published AED location, since that information describes a device rather than a person.
