What this site is

AEDCaribe is an information platform. It shows where defibrillators have been reported to be, so that people can find one quickly. It is not a medical service, an emergency service, or a substitute for either.

Where the information comes from

Almost everything you see here was supplied by members of the public and by the organisations that own these devices. We review submissions before publishing them, but we cannot visit every location or verify every detail ourselves.

This means information may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. A device may have been moved, removed, taken out of service, or blocked behind a door that was open when it was reported.

Availability is never guaranteed

The colour shown next to an AED reflects what we have been told, not a live check of the device. A defibrillator shown as available may turn out to be missing, locked away, out of battery, or otherwise unusable when you arrive.

Always send someone for an AED rather than going yourself, and never stop or delay resuscitation to look for one.

This site does not give medical advice

The guidance on this site is a short reminder for people who have already been trained. It is not instruction in resuscitation. If you want to learn, take a proper course — see reanimatiebonaire.com.

The operator of this site provides it in good faith and free of charge, and accepts no responsibility for loss or harm arising from information here being inaccurate, incomplete, out of date, or unavailable, nor from a defibrillator being missing or unusable.

Owners of the buildings and organisations where these devices are kept are responsible for their own equipment. Listing a device here does not make its owner responsible to you, nor does it oblige them to keep it available.

Telling us about a mistake
